I’ll be fair. I used to be dangerous at cooking fish.

It used to be in most cases overcooked, as a result of I used to be by no means somewhat certain when it used to be executed.

…till I began cooking it within the gradual cooker. It’s wonderful:

  • No dry, overcooked fish
  • No bland, flavorless fish.
  • Fish is completed in most effective 15-20 mins, now not hours and hours, like same old gradual cooker recipes.

On the low, secure warmth in a gradual cooker, there’s a a lot larger window to catch fish at the very best doneness – sooner than it is going from undercooked to overcooked.

On this recipe, the 15 minute cooking time is quite a few time for fish to soak up the highly spiced, savory flavors of the chilies, tomatoes, onions and candy potatoes.

And right here’s one large bonus which my mother will love: cooking fish within the gradual cooker doesn’t make your kitchen odor fishy. My mother by no means chefs fish for this one reason why. *This hack is for you Mother!*

I came upon this fish-cooking Wholesome Kitchen Hack a couple of years in the past after I made this recipe for Thai Gradual Cooker Tilapia.

#HealthyKitchenHacks: How to cook fish in the slow cooker
